We'll get more bio info to you soon, but for now:

Pennsylvania Creative Community Awards: Ridgway Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous (the world's largest event of its kind, drawing more than 200 carvers and 25,000 people to Elk County each year)

Outstanding Arts Leadership & Service to Youth Awards: Caroline S. Nunan of Lancaster (considered to be one of Pennsylvania's most influential cultural assets)

Patron of the Year (the first of two awards): Louis J. Appell, Jr. (for his dedicated leadership, committed participation and critical financial support that has reinvigorated, stabilized, and promoted arts and heritage in York)

Patron of the Year (the second of two awards): Arthur J. Glatfelter (for his entrepreneurial leadership as he championed community action to stabilize and grow York's art and cultural community)

Artist of the Year: Del McCoury (THE legendary bluegrass artist, raised on dairy farm in York County, now a Nashville bluegrass icon)

Distinquished Arts Award: Jeff Koons (internationally acclaimed visual artist and York native)

Never before, in the history of Governor's Awards, have so many honorees had such long roots in the host community. We are so very proud of them and honored by their accomplishments.
