Promotion during YorkFest

Busy, busy bees. Our volunteers are working hard so that the Governor's Awards have a presence during YorkFest. We nearly have an information "postcard" ready to print; we'll hand them out during YorkFest. AND one committee is creating an arts scavenger hunt. It too will be available during YorkFest. We hope there is a mini version that families can complete that day. The longer version will be due on October 1. Families will turn in their completed "hunts" at the kids activity corner. From the completed "hunts" the names of 3 winners will be drawn. Back to YorkFest: we also hope to have a rough schedule of the ArtsBlock artists and performers scheduled to appear on October 1. Last, but certainly not least, we think we'll have a banner hanging from a balcony near the main drag of YorkFest. Wow!! On short notice, our volunteers are making a lot happen quickly. Thank you all!!

  2. Shame on me . . . of course I should remind everyone that YorkFest -- York's annual arts festival -- is Friday and Saturday, August 29 & 30. The event typically starts at the old colonial courthouse, runs along Codorus Creek passed King and on toward Princess. This year, YorkFest expanded onto Beaver Street with a kids activity area, live performers and our arts collaborative. Come and visit us!!!!
