York County artist Brett Greiman's painting "A Dream of Rain" will be showcased at the Governor's Awards For The Arts on April 8th. I'm guessing nearly 400 people from across the state were crammed in the main rotunda calling on the legislature to restore funding for the arts. It was a very empowering experience.

Someone asked me if all the festivities will be canceled if the legislature cuts funding for arts and for PCA. I guess the best way to deal with this is to work to avoid that possibility. Send the strongest possible message of support for PCA and arts funding to your local officials without delay. Attend the arts rally in Harrisburg on Tuesday, July 14 at 11:00 am in the Capitol Rotunda. . . .

Participation in the Street Fair (I think we're naming it ArtsBlock) is coming along. Thanks to a lot of work by a lot of good people, it looks like we'll have a Fine Arts Tent, a number of "tent artists", a kids activity center, and about 8 performing artists. . . .
